My work towards preserving the largest collection of dried plants from the Galapagos Islands

I spent 2 years working as Herbarium Taxonomist at the Charles Darwin Foundation, managing, curating, and preserving a collection of 47,000 specimens of dried plants.

Updating the Galapagos Seed guide to improve botanical identification

This guide is designed as a practical tool for visual identification of Galapagos seeds and propagules by non-botanists.

En español: esta guía está diseñada como una herramienta práctica para la identificación visual de semillas y propágulos de Galápagos por parte de no botánicos.

Improving environmental conditions for the dried plants

Our published paper shows that temperature and humidity conditions, and especially temperature, can have an impact on pest management, suggesting that proper building insulation and temperature control can do a better job than using pesticides and harmful chemicals to prevent infestations.
